Lonehill Manor Retirement Estate can be described as a self-contained facility catering for the security, health, and welfare of retirees. Since our inception, we have established and upheld steadfast, intimate connections with our residents, ensuring that they receive consistent, superior healthcare services to cater to their ever-changing healthcare requirements.
Lonehill Manor Retirement Estate has 89 residential units spread out across the property.
The breakdown of the residential units are:

Life Rights are considered a contract whereby a resident enjoys the same benefits as if the home was purchased freehold or sectional title, except the Lonehill Manor (Pty) Ltd remains the owner who carries the responsibility of management and maintenance of the estate.

Life rights are protected by an act of parliament (Housing Development Schemes for Retired Persons Act 65 of 1988). The Act gives the right of occupation for the remainder of your life and that of your spouse. In terms of the title deed, no developer or property owner can interrupt your right of occupation.
Lonehill Manor Properties (Pty) Ltd continues to own the assets as an on-going investment and retains its interest even after all units have been sold.
Lonehill Manor Retirement Estate (Pty) Ltd is a private company with 3 shareholders.
The company provides financial, operational, maintenance and healthcare management. There is no body corporate, so there is no management burden on a life rights holder. It is in the interests of the Company to maintain the highest levels of management, services and operational efficiency.
Management at Lonehill Manor consists of the following, all employed by Lonehill Manor:
- There is an estate manager here at Lonehill.
- There is a senior sister in charge with trained nursing and geriatric care staff working 24/7 on rotation.
- There is a catering manager with 12 trained staff on rotation providing 3 meals daily for Frail Care and Assisted Living, and sit-down restaurant meals for independent residents and social functions as required.
- Laundry services work 7 days a week on rotation for frail care and assisted living.
- Cleaning services work 7 days a week on rotation for frail care, assisted living and common areas.
- Maintenance and groundsmen service workers provide garden services and waste collection from units.
- Assisted Living Suites: Prices range from R640 000 per unit.
- Independent Living Apartments: Prices for a one bedroom apartment range from R1 650 000. Prices for a two bedroom / two bathroom apartment from R1 850 000.
The life rights owner, or their estate will retain:
- 92% of the resale price (8% to Lonehill Manor) if sold 0-12 months
- 86% of the resale price (14% to Lonehill Manor) if sold 13-24 months
- 80% of the resale price (20% to Lonehill Manor) if sold after 2 years or thereafter
The life rights owner, or their estate will retain:
- 90% of the original purchase price (10% to Lonehill Manor) if sold 0-12 months
- 80% of the original purchase price (20% to Lonehill Manor) if sold 13-24 months
- 70% of the original purchase price (30% to Lonehill Manor) if sold after 2 years or thereafter

- One shopping centre 2 Kms away (Pick ’n Pay, Woolworths, Clicks, CNA, ATMs, Engen garage, bottle store, coffee and clothing shops etc.).
- Weekly shuttle service to Lonehill Shopping Centre for a nominal fee.
